Process of therapy

Prior to the first visit I would have probably spoken to you on the telephone, and we may also have exchanged e mails.

The first session is focused on getting to know each other and me taking a history relevant to the issue(s) that has brought you to therapy. From this history we can discuss the best way forward and decide if I am the most appropriate person for you to work with and vice versa.

Between each session you will be invited to undertake tasks, this should be fun and is often one of the most enjoyable parts of the therapy.

If you have come as a couple I would prefer to work with you together, although sometimes an occasional individual session may be more appropriate.

The next sessions focus on resolving the identified issue.
